Suzanne Moulton
Director, Lead Fabricator and Workshop Presenter
She has dedicated her life to awareness for wildlife through her art and educational craft workshops. Her Birds of the Elliott campaign which partnered with The Audubon Society of Portland and the Coos Art Museum last year successfully activated hundreds of people to follow and protect old growth forest and endangered wildlife in the state of Oregon. She has over 10 years experience working on stop-motion feature films such as Coraline, Frankenweenie, ParaNorman and numerous commercials and independent short films.
Suzanne Twining
Animation Director and Lead Animator
Suzanne has animated on feature films Coraline, ParaNorman, and The Boxtrolls, and TV shows such as Tumble Leaf, Phantom Investigators, Robot Chicken, The PJs, and Celebrity Death Match. She has also won several awards for her independent films Put On A Happy Face and Terminator Tomatoes, appearing in over 60 environmental film festivals worldwide.
Jorge Martinez
Cinematographer and Visual Effects Artist
Jorge was the backbone at a video production studio with duties extending beyond his official title as Lead Editor and Compositor, to include lighting, videography and audio production. He played key VFX roles on the stop-motion productions: Auntie Claus promo short and the award winning Mermaids on Mars for which Jorge even animated on a few shots. Mermaids on Mars appeared in over 20 film festivals worldwide.
Jorge also makes music.
Leila Chieko
Editor
Leila is a wildlife enthusiast and has a passion for creating documentary films. Her first documentary, The World of Snowhorse Animation, won "Best Short Film" at the 2018 Oregon Documentary Film Fest. Her interest in stop-motion animation is an extension of her hobby as a toy photographer, for which she has amassed an 11k international following on Instagram @brickandmordor.
Dave Wirth
Composer of Original Music Score
Dave has a Masters in Performance, Literature and Classical Guitar from The Eastman School of Music. He has over 15 years of experience as a composer, including orchestrating and conducting both chamber and orchestral music. Dave’s music has been praised by music reviewers as making “the tiny hairs on your neck stand up,” (Glitter and Stilettos) and “Blessed with an innate gift to articulate thoughts, feelings, and emotions through sound, his talent for creating the perfect atmosphere is as clever and insightful as it is highly skilled and passionately performed” (Sleeping Bag Studios).
Sarah Chellis
Puppet Armaturist, Scenic Set Builder, and Web Designer
Portland born armaturist, Sarah Chellis, is proud to share her diverse background with us. Her film experience includes working on several local short film projects such as Widows Walk Lake, The Adults in the Room, and Nemesis, as well as season five of the TV show Leverage. Wanting to get her hands dirty, she learned metal working from the Oregon College of Art and Craft, before embarking on the adventure of business ownership. She ran an online store, EyeDentity Patchworks, selling handmade, custom eye patches for those in need.
